Summer Day Camps
Summer Day Camps at apfa are:
- To enhance self esteem, promote personal wellness and to encourage healthy choices
- To promote teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and communication
- For children who have completed kindergarten through to grade 6
- To have FUN!!
2009 apfa Summer Day Camps
All 2009 apfa Summer Day Camps are $80.00 per camper per camp.

All 2009 Multicultrual Centre Summer Day Camps are $125.00 per camper per week.

2009 apfa Summer Day Camps
July 13th to 16th 2009 - For Girls Only
Exploring themselves and the people around them through fun, age
appropriate activities focusing on the girls’ strengths. At the end of the camp, each girl
has a personal scrapbook about themselves.
This camp is held at St. Andrew’s United
Church in Spruce Grove.
July 20th to 23rd 2009 - Our Natural World
Exploring nature with games, projects, activities, crafts and an
interactive scavenger hunt.
This camp has a French Immersion Format and will be held in the PERC Building.
July 27th to 30th 2009 - Arts & Drama
Exploring arts from creative design to play writing, music, drama, poster
making, set design, costume construction, acting, directing and everything in between.
The camp ends with a production highlighting the combined talents of the participants.
Held in the PERC Building.
August 4th to 7th 2009 - Madcap Science
Exploring the fun side of science with hands-on experiments and
interactive games and activities. The camp concludes with a science fair highlighting the
best of the week.
This camp has a French Immersion Format and will be held in the PERC Building.
August 10th to 13th 2009 - Time Traveler
Exploring history from dinosaurs to knights and damsels – from pirates to
Greek Olympians – and lots more in between.
This camp has a French Immersion Format and will be held in the PERC Building.

2009 Multicultural Centre Summer Day Camps
July 27th to 31st 2009 - Pioneer Days
Exploring life 100 years ago through gardening and homesteading activities
with lots of old fashioned games, crafts, music and fun.
August 17th to 21st 2009 - Fun à la Carte
Exploring a menu of growing and learning hands-on activities. This camp
begins on Saturday May 23rd with the planting of a community garden and culminating on
Friday August 21 with a harvest festival meal for their families. Between May and August
there will be opportunities for the campers and their families to participate in activities
and to “watch their gardens grow”.
